The volleyball goddess ties the knot with a Vietnamese athletics heartthrob

There have been continuous joyful news about the Vietnamese women's volleyball players from late 2025 to early 2026.

According to information from Vietnamnet, the former national team outside hitter of Thông tin - Đông Bắc: Phạm Thị Nguyệt Anh and former athlete Quách Công Lịch are about to start their life together after many years of dating.

Phạm Thị Nguyệt Anh, born in 1998, currently holds the rank of Professional Soldier Captain. She grew up through the youth academy of Thông tin - Đông Bắc and has remained loyal to the military team until now.

The 27-year-old outside hitter stands out both in talent and beauty — something probably not surprising to athletes under the Thông tin team. She helped the team achieve a triple crown of national championships for three consecutive years: 2019, 2020, and 2021; won 2 silver medals at the Hùng Vương Cup (2018 and 2025) and twice finished runner-up at the Hoa Lư - Bình Điền Cup (2022, 2025).

At the national team level, Nguyệt Anh helped Vietnam’s women’s team win 2 silver medals at SEA Games 31 and 32, won the AVC Nations Cup 2023, and reached the top 4 at the Asian Championship and ASIAD 19 in the same year. However, in 2025, the Quảng Bình native did not maintain her outstanding form and was not called up to the national team.

Quách Công Lịch was once a major star in Vietnamese athletics. He won gold at SEA Games 30 in 2019 and numerous other medals in the 400m hurdles and 400m relay events, secured the gold at the 2017 Asian Grand Prix, and held the national record in the 400m for 10 years until it was broken by Tạ Ngọc Tưởng at the 2025 National Athletics Championships.

Additionally, Quách Công Lịch is the younger brother of another well-known Vietnamese athlete - Quách Thị Lan, who retired last year.

Vietnamese women's volleyball keeps receiving joyful news at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 as several players get married simultaneously. Recently, Nguyễn Thị Trinh, Phạm Thị Hiền and Trần Nguyễn Quí Uyên have all held their wedding ceremonies, while Đoàn Thị Lâm Oanh officially announced her partner - swimmer Nguyễn Huy Hoàng.
