This will mark the third professional club where the 1976-born coach will take charge on the sidelines.
Hanoi Tasco Auto club has officially announced a major coaching signing by appointing Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt as head coach, aiming for the ambitious 2026 season. This is considered a strategic move by the capital’s team to elevate their strength and status with strong investment from a new sponsor.
Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt is a familiar name to Vietnamese volleyball fans. At the club level, he made a significant mark by leading VietinBank to the runner-up position in the 2019 National Championship, before conquering the continental peak by winning the 2023 Asian Club Championship with Sport Center 1 — a team composed of national players. Recently, he maintained stability by helping VietinBank finish 4th in the 2025 National Championship, and previously led Quang Ninh to 4th place at the 2022 National Sports Festival.
However, Coach Tuấn Kiệt’s greatest impact has been at the national team level. He is the chief architect behind a series of outstanding achievements for Vietnam’s women’s volleyball over the past three years: 3 AVC Nations Cup titles, 2 SEA Games silver medals, a historic championship at the 2nd leg of the 2025 SEA V.League, a bronze medal at the FIVB Challenger Cup, reaching the top 4 in the Asian Championship and 19th Asian Games in 2023, leading the team to its first-ever participation in the World Championship, and achieving a record highest ranking of 22nd in the world rankings.
Hanoi Tasco Auto’s recruitment of Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt demonstrates a clear determination to build a team with strong resilience, tactical depth, and top-level competitive experience. The new club is expected to become a formidable force in the 2026 season with other quality signings consisting entirely of national team players: Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Le Thanh Thuy, and Nguyen Khanh Dang.
