The Vietnamese volleyball transfer market is very active as the 2026 National Championship season approaches.
National female volleyball player Lưu Thị Huệ will join a new team for the 2026 season after her contract with LPB Ninh Bình expires.
Lưu Huệ’s contract with the historic team ends at the close of 2025, and she has decided not to renew. She is the next notable player to part ways with the current national runner-up, middle blocker Lê Thanh Thúy, who transferred to play for Hà Nội - Tasco Auto alongside veteran libero Nguyễn Thị Kim Liên, who is likely to join XMLS Thanh Hóa.
There are many rumors that Lưu Thị Huệ might reunite with Lê Thanh Thúy in Hà Nội’s colors, but so far these remain just speculations. The 1999-born middle blocker is expected to finalize her future soon with a destination that promises to 'cause a stir'.
At 26 years old, Lưu Thị Huệ is among the top middle blockers in Vietnamese women's volleyball today. She developed her skills with VietinBank, had a brief stint with Quảng Ninh before joining LPB Ninh Bình.
Standing 1.85 meters tall, she suffered a severe ligament injury in the 2023 Hùng Vương Cup final, causing a long absence from competition. This season, Lưu Thị Huệ has truly regained her form, playing a major role in helping LPB Ninh Bình advance to the National Championship final despite the absence of their star player - Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền.
Her convincing performances in the second phase and the National Championship finals persuaded coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt to include her in the squad for SEA Games 33. There, she earned her third SEA Games silver medal after previously competing in the 2019 and 2022 editions.
