Her departure is considered a significant professional loss for the Hưng Yên team, but both parties reached an agreement based on the athlete’s personal wishes and the club’s current situation.
Nguyễn Thị Uyên is a prominent figure who developed through the youth training system of Thái Bình volleyball (now Hưng Yên). She started competing at the top level in 2015 and quickly established herself as a key player, later taking on the role of team captain.
Over a decade of commitment, her most notable achievement was leading her teammates to win the national championship in 2022. Besides her consistent skills, Nguyễn Thị Uyên is also highly regarded for her loyalty and wholehearted dedication to her hometown team through many ups and downs.
The year 2025 saw Nguyễn Thị Uyên’s outstanding performance with the national team. Under head coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt’s guidance, she returned to the starting lineup and played a crucial role during decisive moments.
