Not only the women's volleyball teams, but the men's volleyball clubs also know how to "make waves" in the transfer market.
On December 31st, news from the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's volleyball team announced that head coach Duong Tan Vinh officially ended his contract with the team. Both parties agreed not to renew the cooperation, mutually consenting to part ways, closing a brief but positively impactful chapter.
According to SGGP, Coach Duong Tan Vinh's decision was mainly driven by his desire to be closer to his family. After thorough discussions with the team’s management, he chose to step down from his position despite both sides valuing their collaboration during the tenure.
Coach Duong Tan Vinh joined Ho Chi Minh City Police in the 2025 season and quickly made a professional impact. Under his leadership, the team secured third place at the 2025 National Championship despite being a newcomer club. Additionally, Ho Chi Minh City Police achieved the runner-up position at the 2025 Hung Vuong Cup and finished second at the international police and security volleyball tournament the same year, thereby establishing themselves as one of the most promising squads in Vietnamese men's volleyball.
Before joining Ho Chi Minh City Police, Coach Duong Tan Vinh served as head coach for VLXD Binh Duong. It is understood that even after leaving the police team, he continues to pursue professional coaching and is considering options for a suitable team, prioritizing proximity to his family for personal convenience.
Besides changes in the coaching staff, the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's volleyball team has undergone a significant roster overhaul, parting ways with seven players: Che Quoc Vo Lit, Le Hoai Han, Lam Van Sanh, Nguyen Dinh Nhu, Nguyen Quan Ngoc, Tran Trien Chieu, and Pham Thoai Khuong. Notably, middle blocker Che Quoc Vo Lit was part of the Vietnam men’s national volleyball team training camp in 2025, while setter Pham Thoai Khuong was also called up but could not join due to personal reasons.
