Vietnamese women's volleyball is about to witness a major transfer bombshell

Vi Thị Như Quỳnh is emerging as one of the most mentioned figures in Vietnamese women's volleyball amid the pre-2026 season transition.

Vi Thị Như Quỳnh has become one of the most frequently discussed players in Vietnamese women's volleyball during this period of change before the 2026 season.

After helping the Vietnamese women's volleyball team secure a silver medal at SEA Games 33, the attacker born in 2002 quickly moved abroad to compete, marking a new chapter in her career.

Right after the Games, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh signed a short-term contract and headed to Indonesia to play for the Medan Falcons club. This move is considered an important step for the young spiker to gain more international experience, adapt to a professional environment, and face higher competition intensity.

According to the plan, she will complete her contract in Indonesia and return to Vietnam by the end of February 2026 to prepare for the domestic season.

While Như Quỳnh is competing overseas, her future in the national championship has attracted significant attention. Her contract with Quảng Ninh club ended in December 2025, opening up the possibility of a transfer.

Multiple sources report that Vi Thị Như Quỳnh has reached an agreement to join the Taseco Hanoi women's volleyball team, which recently earned promotion and is preparing to return to the top league for the 2026 season.

If the final procedures are completed, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh will sign the most valuable contract of her career to date.

She is expected to join her new team more than a month before the first round of the 2026 national championship begins, scheduled from April 6 to April 19 in Đông Anh, Hanoi. This period is considered sufficient for the national team's main attacker to integrate with the playing style, tactics, and professional demands of the coaching staff.
