Vi Thị Như Quỳnh has officially reached an agreement to play for a Vietnamese club after returning from Indonesia.

Outside hitter Vi Thị Như Quỳnh has officially signed a contract with a domestic club after her period playing in Indonesia.

According to the latest information, the Vietnamese female volleyball athlete will join the Hanoi Tasco women's team starting from phase one of the 2026 Vietnam National Championship.

Currently, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh is still competing in Indonesia under a short-term contract. She is expected to finalize all procedures and return to Vietnam by the end of February 2026 to join her new team in time. This timely return ensures the national team’s outside hitter will not miss the first round of the 2026 National Volleyball Championship, which will commence in early April.

According to sources involved, the negotiation process between Vi Thị Như Quỳnh and Hanoi Tasco women’s team went smoothly. The contract terms were agreed upon with the intention of safeguarding the player’s rights and matching the professional direction of the capital’s club. Immediately after returning home, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh will officially debut with her new club and begin preparations for the domestic season.

Previously, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh was registered with the Quang Ninh women's volleyball team in 2025. However, she was loaned to the Công Thương Bank team to compete in the 2025 National Championship. By the season’s end, Công Thương Bank placed 4th, while Quang Ninh, despite reaching the finals of the 2025 National A-Class Championship, only secured the runner-up position, missing out on promotion. The contract between Vi Thị Như Quỳnh and Quang Ninh officially concluded at the end of December 2025.

Although she prioritized staying with her former club, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh decided to find a new team to support her long-term career development. Hanoi Tasco women’s team, aspiring to rise into the top group of the national league in the coming years, is seen as a fitting choice for this outside hitter’s next career move.

Earlier, Hanoi volleyball officials affirmed their goal to place the capital’s women’s team among the top three strongest teams nationally. Therefore, Hanoi Tasco is actively reinforcing its lineup, with Vi Thị Như Quỳnh considered a valuable signing due to her expertise and international playing experience.

At the national team level, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh has been a familiar figure in Vietnamese women’s volleyball throughout 2025. She participated in the World Championship, stood out at the 33rd SEA Games, and helped the team earn a silver medal in Thailand. Having risen through the youth ranks of Công Thương Bank, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh is regarded as one of the most talented outside hitters in Vietnamese women’s volleyball today.

The first round of the 2026 National Volleyball Championship will take place at Đông Anh Sports Hall (Hanoi) from April 6 to April 19, 2026.
