Vietnam’s new female volleyball recruits make a bold move by signing two national team players?

Hanoi women's volleyball team, backed by significant funding, is expected to surprise everyone in the 2026 National Championship.

According to information from SGGP, middle blocker Le Thanh Thuy will officially end her contract with the club after the 2025 season concludes. The Hanoi women's volleyball team has held direct negotiations with the Vietnamese national team player, and both sides have nearly reached an agreement on the terms.

If there are no last-minute changes, the 30-year-old middle blocker will become a notable new addition to the capital’s team ahead of the 2026 season.

Le Thanh Thuy is a familiar face on the Vietnam women's volleyball team. She joined the national squad at a very young age, leaving a mark with both her talent and beauty. Over the past three years, Le Thuy has achieved numerous successes at both club and national team levels: national champion in 2023 and runner-up in 2025; Hung Vuong Cup champion in 2025; runner-up in the 2024 Asian Club Championship, earning a spot in the world tournament; runner-up in the VTV9 - Binh Dien Cup; together with the team, she won the AVC Nations Cup, bronze at the FIVB Challenger Cup, and a historic gold medal at stage 2 of the SEA V.League 2025.

At the recent 33rd SEA Games, she and her teammates won the silver medal and made a special impression when she was entrusted with carrying the flag for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation during the opening ceremony.

Not stopping at Le Thanh Thuy, the Hanoi women's volleyball team is also negotiating with outside hitter Vi Thi Nhu Quynh. This hitter’s contract with the Quang Ninh women's team expires after the 2025 season, and she is currently playing in Indonesia for the Medan Falcons club.

With support from Tasco Auto, Hanoi women's volleyball is turning a new page. The team hired foreign players and impressively won the national A-level championship, earning the sole ticket to compete in the 2026 National Championship. The combination of Le Thanh Thuy, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, and young homegrown stars like Bui Thi Anh Thao, Le Thuy Linh, Vi Thi Yen Nhi, and Pham Thuy Linh promises to make Hanoi a very exciting team to watch next season.
