Following their impressive victory at the 2025 National A-grade Championship and official promotion, the Hanoi women's volleyball team has started important adjustments in both personnel and coaching staff.
After successfully clinching the 2025 National A-grade Championship and achieving promotion, the team women's volleyball Hanoi has initiated key changes regarding personnel and the coaching staff.
According to the team’s representative, the Thai expert Kittipong Pornchartyingcheep officially left the team to return home after completing his mission of leading the team to promotion. During the 2025 A-grade campaign, Hanoi was the only unit bold enough to add a foreign coach to the staff to enhance the players' professional strength.
In the upcoming 2026 season, the capital's team will no longer collaborate with this Thai expert. Currently, coaching and maintaining the players’ skills have been assigned to Coach Nguyen Huu Binh.
This change on the coaching bench is part of the team’s restructuring plan to adapt to the tougher competition environment in Vietnam’s top volleyball league.
Regarding the roster, the Hanoi women's team will welcome back the important return of young outside hitter Bui Thi Anh Thao. At the 2025 National Championship, Anh Thao played on loan for the Ninh Binh women's team and played a significant role in helping them earn the runner-up title. With the experience gained and the Silver Medal recently won at SEA Games 33, Anh Thao is expected to be a key pillar leading Hanoi’s offense in the new season.
Additionally, the capital team also possesses quality players who have previously been part of the national team training squad, such as setter Vi Thi Yen Nhi and middle blocker Le Thuy Linh.
Regarding foreign players, Mr. Bui Dinh Loi – Head of the volleyball department (Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center) and Vice President of the Hanoi Volleyball Federation – stated that currently the team is focusing on maintaining professionalism with the existing domestic players.
The plan to hire foreign athletes will be carefully considered by the management early next year to ensure effectiveness and alignment with the investment budget for the 2026 National Championship.
