After a long period of nearly "disappearing" from official competitions, Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền recently reappeared unexpectedly in a casual photo, immediately capturing the attention of Vietnamese volleyball supporters.
This is regarded as the most recent image of the opposite hitter born in 2000 since she took a break from playing due to injury, also raising hopes for her comeback in 2026.
The photo was shared on the official Facebook page of Nguyễn Thị Huyền – a Vietnamese athletics legend with 13 SEA Games gold medals. In the picture, Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền stands next to her famous senior, with a playful caption: "Sisters when we come home together 35 (Ninh Bình province’s vehicle plate number)."

Bích Tuyền is from Vĩnh Long and currently affiliated with the LPBank Ninh Bình club. Meanwhile, Nguyễn Thị Huyền, originally from Nam Định, is now considered a Ninh Bình resident following this year's administrative merger. The joint appearance of these two famous athletes from different sports is viewed by fans as a positive image, somewhat indicating that Bích Tuyền’s mental and physical condition is gradually stabilizing.
This is also a rare occasion for Bích Tuyền to appear publicly since she did not join the Vietnamese women's volleyball team at the World Championship held in late August and early September 2025. Her personal Facebook page has been switched to private, making all information about her even more scarce and attracting special attention.
The last time Bích Tuyền competed in a professional tournament was at the second stage of the SEA V.League 2025 in early August. In that event, she was the brightest star, playing a major role in helping the Vietnamese women’s volleyball team defeat Thailand for the first time in history to claim the championship. After that significant milestone, Bích Tuyền has continuously missed the World Championship, SEA Games 33, and only appeared in the second phase of the national women’s volleyball championship in a completely different capacity: as a caretaker rather than a competing athlete.
