Trần Tú Linh was absent for the majority of this season because of a serious injury.
On December 21, main attacker Trần Tú Linh posted a short video showing her recovery and return to training after the serious injury. This post quickly gained over 1,000 likes/hearts and nearly 200 comments, including interactions from Tú Linh’s national team teammates.
Trần Tú Linh resumes training after injury
Most notably, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh – who filled Tú Linh’s position in the 2025 tournaments, forming a main attacker duo with Trần Thị Thanh Thúy – reacted.
"Heheeheee the happiest person right now is Khánh Đang."Như Quỳnh wrote, tagging Nguyễn Khánh Đang’s Facebook account. The national team libero also replied:"That’s funny, sis.", while Tú Linh seemed confused about what was happening, responding: "What are you two talking about?".
Vietnamese women's volleyball fans probably understand what Như Quỳnh and Khánh Đang meant. Before the injury, Trần Tú Linh was a familiar choice of coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt on the national team, standing out with excellent defense and first-ball reception skills.
Tú Linh’s all-around ability as the second main attacker eased the pressure on the libero and the other main attacker, Trần Thị Thanh Thúy, while making the team’s attacks smoother and more effective.
It was unfortunate that from the end of the 2024 season, Tú Linh showed signs of a knee injury, no longer maintaining her best form and officially underwent surgery in April this year, missing all the competitions of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team throughout the year.
Without Tú Linh, coach Tuấn Kiệt experimented with various options before settling on the main attacker pair Như Quỳnh - Thanh Thúy, where "4T" served as both the top offensive threat and the key defender, handling first-ball receptions for the team.
