Indonesia’s Mediapriangan recently praised Vi Thị Như Quỳnh after her move to Yogya Falcons. She was regarded as one of the quality foreign players in the Indonesian women’s volleyball league.

"Yogya Falcons Club in Proliga 2025 decided to sign foreign players from Southeast Asia. The club contracted Vi Thị Như Quỳnh from Vietnam and Dell Palomata from the Philippines for Proliga 2026," Mediapriangan wrote.

"Vi Thị Như Quỳnh is a young outside hitter of the Vietnamese volleyball team, standing out with her speed and stable defense. Meanwhile, Dell Palomata has an excellent physique and strong blocking skills, being one of the top middle blockers in the Philippines," Mediapriangan commented.

Vietnamese billiard player wins championship in France

Billiard player Trần Quyết Chiến won the Blois 3-Cushion Masters 2025 title in France after a commanding victory over "genius" Frederic Caudron in the final. In the match early on December 22, Quyết Chiến scored 50 points to Caudron’s 15. Although the number of innings was similar, his performance was superior due to steady scoring rhythm and solid playing style. The Vietnamese player did not rely on long runs, with a highest series of only 8 points, but maintained control of the table and minimized errors.
