On the WTA side, Sabalenka has now extended her winning streak in Brisbane to ten matches. She started the new season by winning the title without dropping a set, earning the 22nd trophy of her career and demonstrating the strength of the world No. 1. Although Kostyuk did not claim the Brisbane title, her performance this week was commendable: she defeated three top-10 players in a row (Anisimova, Andreyeva, Pegula) and reached her first final of 2024. Next week, she will return to the top 20 rankings.
