Accumulated 52 weeks at number one, Alcaraz looks back on an impressive 2025!

The clock has struck the start of 2026, and as 2025 fades into the past, many are reflecting and summarizing the year. The current men’s singles world number one, Alcaraz, also shared images reviewing his outstanding 2025 season. This week marks the 52nd cumulative week he has held the top spot, and there is no doubt that Alcaraz will set new records and achieve even greater success in the future.

So just how dominant was Alcaraz in the 2025 season? First, let’s look at his win rate. Alcaraz amassed an impressive 70 wins and 8 losses in 2025, with an overall winning percentage close to 90%. He claimed 8 major titles, including the French Open and the US Open Grand Slams. Additionally, the Spanish star secured Masters titles at Monte Carlo, Rome, and Cincinnati.

With two Grand Slam titles in 2025, Alcaraz became the youngest male player since the Open Era to win at least two Grand Slams on hard, clay, and grass courts at just 22 years old. He also completed a clay-court career slam by winning the four top-level clay events: Monte Carlo, Madrid, Rome, and the French Open.

His outstanding win rate propelled Alcaraz’s ranking points to new heights. In 2025, he amassed over 12,000 points to secure a commanding lead, claiming the year-end world number one ranking for the second time since 2022. Among active players, this achievement ranks just behind Djokovic.

Like Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer, Alcaraz has his own epic rival in Italian player Sinner. They faced off six times in 2025, all in men’s singles finals, with Alcaraz holding a 4-2 edge. Their French Open final, a grueling 5-hour 29-minute match, was hailed by international media as “one of the greatest matches of the 21st century.”

Recently, Alcaraz attracted attention after ending his partnership with coach Ferrero, with whom he had worked since 2018, due to certain reasons. According to reports, after parting ways with Ferrero, Lopez, already part of the team, remained on board. Lopez joined Alcaraz’s team at the end of the 2024 season and last year led him solo to victories at the Queen’s Club and Cincinnati tournaments, with the latter marking Alcaraz’s first Masters title in the second half of his career.

Born in 2003, Alcaraz still has limitless potential ahead of him. As long as he stays healthy, he is expected to win many more titles!(Source: Tennis Home, Author: Barbie)
