The Thai page Mr. AEC Football has made a surprising comment about Vietnam's world-class stadiums.
Recently, the page Mr. AEC Football responded unexpectedly to the news that Vietnam is currently constructing three sports complex projects, including Trống Đồng Stadium, PVF Stadium, and Rạch Chiếc Stadium.
Accordingly, Mr. AEC Football expressed admiration for the scale of these projects and affirmed that Vietnam is fully capable of hosting major sporting events in the future, such as the ASIAD or even the World Cup.
Specifically, the page stated: "Three key new stadiums in Vietnam's football infrastructure development project.
Trống Đồng Stadium
Capacity: 135,000 seats
Expected completion: 2028
PVF Stadium
Location: Hưng Yên Capacity: 60,000 seats
Expected completion: 2027
Rạch Chiếc Stadium
Location: Ho Chi Minh City Capacity: 70,000 seats
Expected completion: 2028
Not only targeting SEA Games or ASIAD, these infrastructure projects are also aimed further, with the goal of meeting standards to host the FIFA World Cup."
In October 2025, the PVF Stadium project was officially launched in Nghĩa Trụ commune, Hưng Yên province, within the PVF youth football training center campus.
The stadium is built on an area of over 55,000 square meters, including four stands A, B, C, D, and fully integrated functional areas such as administration, technical and security zones, media area, VIP section, locker rooms, food services, an outdoor square, and a modern parking system covering 18 hectares.
Two months later, the Trống Đồng Stadium project was also unveiled on a massive scale. According to the plan, the sports complex covers about 10,000 hectares, with zone B over 3,118 hectares, located in Thường Tín, Tam Hưng, Thượng Phúc, and Dân Hòa communes, with an estimated population of nearly 187,000 people.
This area includes residential land, apartments, service, commercial, and resort facilities. The highlight is large-scale sports complexes, notably Trống Đồng Stadium with a capacity of 135,000 seats, along with many modern sports facilities meeting international standards.
Furthermore, Vietnam continues to demonstrate its ambition with the Rạch Chiếc Stadium project. This information has attracted special attention as it is designed with about 75,000 seats and an estimated investment of 5.5 billion USD, equivalent to approximately 143 trillion VND. This is considered a very large and rare investment for a sports project in Southeast Asia.
Overall, the continuous rollout of large-scale stadium and sports complex projects shows Vietnam football's long-term ambition to upgrade infrastructure and regional status.
Not only aiming to serve domestic or regional tournaments, these facilities also target strict international standards, capable of hosting top global sports events. If the projects are completed on schedule and operated effectively, Vietnam could open a new development phase, gradually realizing the dream of hosting continental and world-class competitions.
