Only 13 players can feel secure about their future at MU

According to internal assessments within the club, only about 13 current players can be relatively confident about their place next season.

MU has already exited both cup competitions early, with only a few matches remaining, but the pressure on each individual player is greater than ever before. If Michael Carrick is truly given the responsibility to lead the team until the end of the season, he will have roughly 17 games to fully evaluate the squad. The midfield shows a clear divide. Kobbie Mainoo holds a safer position following recent coaching changes. Bruno Fernandes remains an indispensable leader, though his future partly depends on his personal ambitions. Amad is also considered one of the few bright spots.

Conversely, the list of players at risk of leaving MU is quite long. Casemiro, Harry Maguire, and Tom Heaton all face the possibility of departure as their contracts expire. Joshua Zirkzee is unlikely to avoid being offloaded this summer, while Altay Bayindir reportedly wants more playing time at another club. Tyrell Malacia appears to have lost his place at Old Trafford.

Notably, players like Diogo Dalot, Manuel Ugarte, and Mason Mount are no longer secure. Their unimpressive form, fitness issues, and intensifying competition force them to make a strong breakthrough if they want to avoid becoming casualties of the upcoming overhaul.

The remaining months of the season will be the final test. Manchester United is not only seeking results but also the right individuals for the future. Those who pass this test of resilience will stay. The rest will likely leave Old Trafford in what is expected to be one of the toughest clear-outs in many years.
