Real Madrid finalizes the coach to replace Xabi Alonso, coming from the Premier League

Real Madrid is reported to have found a replacement for Xabi Alonso shortly after reaching an agreement to end the contract with the Spanish manager.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Real Madrid is seriously considering Jurgen Klopp as a long-term coaching solution, with the idea of appointing the German tactician ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Although no official steps have been taken yet, top executives at Bernabeu recognize that Klopp – who has been away from direct coaching duties for several months – might be ready to return, as it is believed he misses the daily intensity and rhythm on the sidelines.

This interest arises amid a turbulent period for Real Madrid, as the club decided to part ways with Xabi Alonso following a disappointing loss in the Spanish Super Cup. Alonso arrived at Bernabeu with high expectations but struggled to handle the immense pressure at one of the world’s most demanding clubs. His tenure ended before completing a full season.

Under Alonso’s leadership, Real Madrid currently sits second in La Liga, four points behind their archrivals Barcelona.
