The Vietnam women's national team is preparing for the final round of the 2026 Asian Championship.

For this training session starting January 14, Head Coach Mai Đức Chung has called up 28 players to train at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. Additionally, the coaching staff will continue to select and develop promising young athletes. Specifically, some young players currently participating in the National U19 Women's Football Championship will be monitored and evaluated during the competition and may be called up to the national team after the tournament ends on February 7.

During this crucial preparation period, the Vietnam women's team will have a training camp in China from February 7 to 14 to enhance match experience, gain valuable practice, and refine their playing style, aiming to achieve peak performance at the continental competition.

Previously, the draw for the final round of the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup was held at Sydney City Hall, Australia, on the afternoon of July 29, 2025. The draw placed the Vietnam women's team in Group C alongside Japan, India, and Taiwan (China). According to the tournament format, the top two teams from each group and the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarterfinals.

Vietnam’s women's team will face India in their opening match on March 4. The following two matches against Taiwan (China) and Japan will take place on March 7 and March 10, respectively. All three matches coached by Mai Đức Chung will be held at Perth Rectangular Stadium, Australia.
