With Beijing's shocking loss, Xinjiang's 39-point blowout victory, and Guangsha's big win, the latest CBA standings show the top three teams tied.

On January 12th Beijing time, the 13th round of the CBA regular season kicked off. In the games already finished, Shenzhen surprisingly beat Beijing 118-110, Ningbo fell 70-84 to defending champions Guangsha, and Xinjiang dominated Jiangsu 99-60. Consequently, the latest rankings have Guangsha on a two-game winning streak in second place, Beijing suffering two losses in a row at fourth, Shenzhen in sixth, Ningbo eighth, and Xinjiang 14th.

Shenzhen versus Beijing. Beijing once achieved a seven-game winning streak this season but then fell into a losing pattern, recently dropping several games consecutively. In this round’s away game against Shenzhen, the first quarter saw an intense offensive battle with fierce competition, Shenzhen leading by one point. In the second quarter, Beijing’s offense stalled, missing many shots, while Shenzhen spread the scoring around and outscored Beijing 28-15, leading by 14 at halftime. In the second half, Beijing’s offense suddenly ignited as they fought back, narrowing the gap to one point. The game entered a heated phase with suspense and twists, but Shenzhen managed to score crucial points at key moments, ultimately winning by 2 points and pulling off a major upset!

Ningbo versus Guangsha. Ningbo has exceeded expectations this season, shedding their underdog label and showing strong potential to reach the playoffs. This round they faced defending champions Guangsha but were outmatched by Guangsha’s superior strength. Guangsha spread the scoring well and quickly pulled away, effectively deciding the game by the end of the third quarter. In the final quarter, Ningbo fought hard to reduce the deficit and save face, avoiding a blowout loss. Ultimately, Guangsha secured a clear and effortless victory.

Xinjiang versus Jiangsu. Xinjiang has clearly regressed this season; as a traditional powerhouse, their low ranking is disappointing. Currently on a two-game losing streak, they faced the very weak Jiangsu, hoping to end their slump. Xinjiang responded with overwhelming force, relentlessly attacking Jiangsu without restraint. The point difference kept growing while Jiangsu’s foreign players struggled with cold shooting. In the end, Xinjiang achieved a dominant 39-point win, handing Jiangsu their eighth consecutive loss!!
