Model Suzy Cortez has publicly condemned Antonela Roccuzzo, the spouse of Lionel Messi, for preventing her from being present at the 2025 MLS Cup final.
According to The Sun, Messi's wife Antonela Roccuzzo is believed to have directly intervened to ensure that model Suzy Cortez could not enter the stadium to watch the MLS Cup final between Inter Miami and Vancouver Whitecaps.
Previously, Cortez was blocked by Messi on social media after allegedly sending provocative images on Instagram repeatedly. As a former Miss BumBum Brazil, Cortez conducted a daring photo shoot after the Barcelona legend unblocked her. Recently, she accused Roccuzzo of restricting her real-life access to Messi.
Cortez stated she felt “insulted” when Roccuzzo firmly refused to allow her into the stadium for the final. Sources say it was Messi’s wife who directly requested the Inter Miami staff to enforce this ban. Cortez also revealed she was once again blocked by Messi and his family members on social media.
Speaking to Extra, Cortez said: “I feel offended. No one should be banned from attending a public sports event because of personal issues or social media disputes.”
Cortez does not rule out the possibility of facing Messi’s family at the 2026 World Cup, which she plans to attend in the US, Mexico, and Canada. She is a devoted fan of Messi and even has several tattoos inspired by the former PSG star in rather sensitive areas. Previously, Cortez posted a video showing her getting a Messi-related tattoo on her backside.
On the other hand, Antonela Roccuzzo has frequently shared about her relationship with Messi and their family life, which she strives to protect.
In an interview with Grazia, Roccuzzo stated: “We love our daily routine. It’s very important for the family and creates stability. We wake up early, take the kids to school, then I try to work out at least five times a week. While the kids are at school, I attend meetings, handle work, or do photo shoots. Afterwards, I pick up the kids, take them to soccer practice or extracurricular activities. Then we have dinner together and go to bed. We are just like a normal family.”
She added: “Not only me, but the family is always the top priority. I always support my husband and children no matter what, and I feel that he supports me as well. We truly form a close-knit unit, and that is what we want to build within our family. This family structure is the effort of everyone involved.”
Currently, Messi is on a mid-season break with Inter Miami but remains focused on conquering the World Cup once again next summer. Argentina’s national team has learned their group stage opponents, including Algeria, Austria, and Jordan. However, before that, Messi and Argentina will play the Finalissima against Spain, where the World Cup champions face the European champions.
