One Vietnamese referee failed to pass the fitness test.

Training for the 2026 National Women’s and Youth Football Competitions: 65 out of 66 referees passed the fitness test.

Ahead of the 2026 season, this afternoon (January 3), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) conducted fitness tests for referees and assistant referees preparing to officiate the national women’s and youth football tournaments in 2026.

The training course took place from January 2 to January 5, 2026, in Hanoi, involving 66 referees and assistant referees, including 31 referees and 35 assistant referees.

The test results showed that 65 out of 66 referees and assistants successfully completed the fitness test as required. This high completion rate reflects their serious training attitude, professional preparation, and good physical condition before the new season begins.

In addition to fitness testing, the training also focused on updating the competition rules, standardizing professional scenarios, and enhancing match officiating skills, thereby contributing to improving the quality of refereeing at the 2026 national women’s and youth football competitions.

Through this training, the VFF hopes the refereeing team will be fully prepared to meet professional requirements, ensuring fairness, transparency, and high quality for the tournaments during the 2026 season.
