According to Schira, Maignan is near completing his contract extension with AC Milan, which would last until 2029, plus an option to extend by one more year until 2030. Maignan’s annual salary will see a significant increase, rising from the current net 2.8 million euros to 6 million euros, along with additional bonuses.

As previously exclusively revealed by Schira, AC Milan’s head coach Allegri and sporting director Maldini both regard the 30-year-old French goalkeeper Maignan as a core member of the team. Despite rumors linking Maignan with some top clubs in the big five leagues, the renewal talks between Maignan and AC Milan have been very friendly and smooth, making the extension almost certain.
