Cristiano Ronaldo extended his congratulations to the club’s women's team following their triumph in the Women’s Premier Challenge Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo briefly congratulated the Al Nassr women's team after they claimed the Premier Challenge Cup title. The first domestic cup competition for women's football in Saudi Arabia concluded with full joy for Al Nassr.
Always showing strong attachment and close attention to the club, Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have closely followed the final match, where Al Nassr women's team faced Al Hilal women's team, featuring the star player Asisat Oshoala. In this match, Al Nassr’s girls secured a convincing 2–0 victory with two goals scored in the first half, leaving the Portuguese superstar visibly impressed.
At 40 years old, Ronaldo sent his congratulations to the women's team with a single word message on his personal Instagram Story, acknowledging the team’s effort and achievement. CR7 wrote: "Unstoppable."
The women's team’s championship came at a time when the men's team is fiercely competing for the league title, with Al Nassr yet to secure an official trophy since the Portuguese striker joined the club. After 11 rounds, Ronaldo and his teammates are leading the standings of the Saudi Professional League.
Notably, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team remains unbeaten in all 11 matches of this Saudi Pro League season, while also maintaining a perfect winning record in the AFC Champions League Group Stage. Al Nassr’s only defeat this season occurred in the King’s Cup round of 16 in October, when they lost to Al Ittihad and were eliminated from the tournament.
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus was brought in to help Ronaldo and his teammates pursue titles after several seasons without glory. Al Nassr hopes the women's team’s success (having won the last three domestic seasons) will serve as a great inspiration for the men's squad moving forward.
