On the morning of December 31, Hà Nội Club announced their parting with goalkeeper Nguyễn Bá Minh Hiếu.
On the official website, Hà Nội Football Club has just announced their separation from goalkeeper Nguyễn Bá Minh Hiếu after a long association: The capital’s team sent a message to Minh Hiếu: "Thank you to goalkeeper Nguyễn Bá Minh Hiếu for your contributions to the youth teams and the first team of the capital club. We wish Minh Hiếu much success in the next chapter of your career."
Under the post, Minh Hiếu received many good luck wishes from Hà Nội FC fans as well as teammates at the club.
Born in 1997, Minh Hiếu has an ideal height of 1.84 meters. He was developed through the youth academy of Hà Nội FC and made an impression when included in the roster of the Vietnam U20 team for the 2017 U20 World Cup finals alongside Bùi Tiến Dũng and Đỗ Sỹ Huy.
In the second phase of the 2023/24 season, Minh Hiếu was registered by the capital club to replace goalkeeper Tấn Trường. However, he was unable to compete for a starting spot against the experienced goalkeepers Văn Chuẩn and Văn Hoàng.
Currently, Hà Nội FC has three goalkeepers: Quan Văn Chuẩn, Nguyễn Văn Hoàng, and Nguyễn Duy Dũng. Among them, Văn Chuẩn has earned the most trust, having played in seven matches since the start of the season.
Regarding Hà Nội FC, coach Harry Kewell’s team recently participated in the Thái Nguyên Four-Team Friendly Tournament and finished in third place. It should be noted that the capital club mainly gave opportunities to young players during this competition.
In the V-League, Hà Nội FC is currently ranked 7th with 15 points after 11 rounds. Moving forward, the purple-shirted team will continue to review and train with the ambition to make a strong comeback.
