MU only managed a draw against Wolves, the team currently at the bottom of this season’s Premier League table.
Early this morning, MU hosted Wolves in the 19th round of the Premier League. Ruben Amorim’s team was expected to claim three points at home after their win over Newcastle in the previous round. The Old Trafford side started energetically with attacking moves. In the 15th minute, Sesko’s shot narrowly missed the post. Wolves then responded with Hwang Hee Chan’s attempt that flew over the bar.
In the 27th minute, MU’s first shot on target resulted in a goal. Joshua Zirkzee received a pass from Ayden Heaven, who had made a great interception in Wolves’ half. Zirkzee quickly spun past a defender before shooting from the edge of the penalty area. The ball deflected off a Wolves defender and went into the net.
Joshua Zirkzee put MU ahead
After scoring, MU continued to dominate. However, in the 45th minute, from a corner kick on Wolves’ left side, Zirkzee lost his mark, allowing Krejci to head in an equalizer for Wolves.
