Massive 40% discount sale! Manchester United values Ugart at 30 million euros, Turkish Super League giant considers loan deal

Manchester United’s recent transfer dealings have been chaotic, mainly due to frequent managerial changes and uncertainty over whether new signings fit into the team or perform well. Some players who struggled at United have flourished after leaving. Now, United is looking to offload players that Amolin doesn’t utilize, including those bought for hefty sums last year.

According to the latest report from Turkish media outlet Türkiye, Galatasaray aims to acquire Manchester United’s 24-year-old Uruguayan defensive midfielder Ugart through a loan with an option to buy.

It is reported that Galatasaray plans to strengthen their midfield. Head coach Brook wants to sign a player who can contribute both offensively and defensively. Therefore, the club’s management has started transfer talks and contacted Ugart, the Uruguayan international who is not getting playing time at Manchester United. Galatasaray intends to submit an offer. United values Ugart at 30 million euros, while Galatasaray hopes to propose a total package of 25 million euros covering loan and purchase fees. Besides Galatasaray, Napoli, who previously benefited from signing two United players McTominay and Hojlund, is also interested in Ugart, along with Lyon from Ligue 1.

Ugart made his name at Sporting CP. He transferred to Paris Saint-Germain in the 2023 summer window for 60 million euros but failed to secure playing time under Enrique. In the 2024 summer window, he moved from PSG to Manchester United for 50 million euros but still couldn’t become a regular under Enshi Amolin. This has caused his market value to drop repeatedly—from 50 million euros when joining PSG, to 45 million euros at United, and now down to 30 million euros.

Currently 24 years old, Ugart stands 1.82 meters tall, is right-footed, and primarily plays as a defensive midfielder. His contract with Manchester United runs until 2029. This Premier League season, he has appeared 12 times, starting 4 matches, totaling only 476 minutes on the pitch.

In my personal opinion, Ugart is a purely defensive midfielder and can be a good player if used properly. If Napoli joins the race, Galatasaray will find it difficult to compete. Moving to Napoli would allow Ugart to reunite with former Manchester United teammates McTominay and Hojlund, forming a solid ex-Red Devils trio, which sounds quite promising.
