Anta’s Independently Developed Technology Innovates and Upgrades, Making Competition Gear World-Leading in Performance
The national team gear created by Anta helped China achieve a historic best at the Beijing Winter Olympics with 9 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals. Entering the Milan cycle, Anta has newly upgraded the competition gear for Chinese winter athletes. After testing by authoritative bodies like the National Ice and Snow Sports Training and Research Base and multiple rounds of athlete trials, the core performance of the gear has reached world-leading standards.

The Chinese national short track speed skating suit features a new generation of cut-resistant materials independently developed by Anta in collaboration with an academician workstation, achieving a breakthrough in single-layer cut protection: it meets the highest international cut resistance level 4, while also being lightweight and breathable. Additionally, Anta uses 3D scanning modeling and AI technology to precisely tailor the fit for athletes, enhancing comfort and performance. Olympic champion and men’s 500m short track world record holder Wu Dajing said: “Thanks to Anta’s long-term support for the Chinese team, the technological improvements in protective and drag-reducing features allow us to focus more on technique during training and competition, providing solid backing for athletes.” After 12 years of iterations, Anta’s short track speed skating suits have achieved full domestic production from design, material development to garment manufacturing.

Anta-developed skeleton shoes, which set the fastest start record at the Beijing Winter Olympics, have been further upgraded: the outsole uses lightweight special alloy forged spikes to enhance grip; the insole includes a carbon plate combined with a dual-bend force line design in the midsole layers, significantly boosting propulsion; the shoe body is customized based on athlete foot data and features a biomimetic streamlined design that achieves breakthroughs in weight reduction while optimizing aerodynamic drag.

Two core independently developed technologies are applied in this gear upgrade. Anta’s self-developed drag reduction system improves wind resistance through fiber modification, fabric surface treatment, texture structure, and three-dimensional tailoring, achieving world-leading drag reduction. This system is used in competition suits for short track speed skating, speed skating, skeleton, bobsleigh, and luge. The thermal airflow system designed for snow sports optimizes back wind channels and increases air circulation to keep athletes’ backs dry, balancing dynamic moisture wicking and static warmth. This system is applied in Anta’s snowboard and freestyle skiing competition suits. Moreover, the thermal airflow system is widely used in Anta’s down jackets and ski wear sold to the public, allowing more people to experience champion-level performance.
