Concerned friends and family of Semaño fear he might have chosen Manchester City mistakenly, but his decision is final! Amorin hints no signings in the winter window.

Antoine Semaño’s agent was spotted in Manchester this week, but his future is set with Manchester City. Despite Manchester United’s attempts to sign him, they were rejected. The striker chose to join a club that can challenge for the Premier League crown and participate in the Champions League.

British outlets disclosed that many of Semaño’s relatives and friends support Manchester United and are concerned the 24-year-old Ghanaian might have made a poor decision, as he may not become a regular starter at City. Under Guardiola, there are several players like Doku competing for the same position.

However, Semaño is determined; he believes he has the ability to become a first-choice player at Manchester City. This season, he has already scored 9 Premier League goals, ranking just behind his soon-to-be teammate Erling Haaland (19 goals) and Brentford’s Igor Thiago (11 goals). Additionally, he has provided 3 assists.

Moreover, since deciding on his next club, Semaño has regained form, scoring in three consecutive matches, including a 1-4 defeat to Brentford. Interestingly, his goal drought ended and scoring streak began at Old Trafford, while playing as a visitor against Manchester United.

Transfer expert Ben Jacobs stated: “Bournemouth expects Semaño’s transfer to Manchester City to be finalized within 48 hours. On Monday, both sides actively negotiated the £65 million release clause payment method. Semaño has also reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City. Bournemouth hopes Semaño will play against Chelsea on Tuesday as his farewell match.”

Interestingly, Semaño’s Manchester City debut might also come against Chelsea! After the winter window opens, City will host Chelsea on January 4. Furthermore, Semaño could make his second appearance this season at Old Trafford, as City will visit the Theatre of Dreams mid-January for the second Manchester derby. He admitted he does not have the final say on transfers and must reach consensus with sporting director Jason Wilcox. Currently, Manchester United prefers to recruit Premier League players. Amorin said: “Our actions follow a process. Also, you must understand that the coach knows best about their own playing style.”
