According to the transfer site Transfermarkt, Vietnamese football has just seen a significant change in the player valuation chart.
In the latest update from the reputable transfer site Transfermarkt, midfielder Nguyễn Quang Hải has officially become the most valuable domestic player in Vietnamese football at present. Specifically, Quang Hải is valued at 400,000 euros, the highest price among domestic players currently competing in the V.League, excluding naturalized players like Xuân Son or Quang Vinh.
Notably, 400,000 euros is also the highest valuation Quang Hải has ever had on Transfermarkt. Previously, the 1997-born midfielder reached this figure while playing for Hà Nội FC as well as during his time at Pau FC (France). After returning to Vietnam and joining the Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) in 2023, Quang Hải’s transfer value dropped to 300,000 euros.
However, thanks to consistent performances and significant contributions in the police club’s jersey, Quang Hải has gradually regained his status. Transfermarkt raising his valuation back to 400,000 euros clearly acknowledges his form, role, and influence in the V.League and regional competitions.
Right after Quang Hải in the list of most valuable domestic Vietnamese players is Phạm Tuấn Hải (Hà Nội FC) with a valuation of 375,000 euros. Following him is a group including Đỗ Duy Mạnh, Nguyễn Tiến Linh, and Nguyễn Hoàng Đức, each valued by Transfermarkt at 325,000 euros.
In the case of Hoàng Đức, the current 2025 Vietnam Golden Ball winner, it is expected that his value may soon increase. Regarding the individual awards race, the 2025 Vietnam Golden Ball ceremony concluded on the evening of December 26 in Ho Chi Minh City with Hoàng Đức taking the top prize. This marks the midfielder’s third Golden Ball win, following 2021 and 2023. Meanwhile, Nguyễn Đình Bắc received the Silver Ball, and Quang Hải placed third with the Bronze Ball.
However, Coach Kim Sang Sik voted Quang Hải for the Golden Ball category, Hoàng Đức for the Silver Ball, and Đình Bắc for the Bronze Ball. This perspective shows that Quang Hải is still highly regarded from a professional viewpoint, despite not winning the highest award.
In 2025, Quang Hải continued to achieve many successes with CAHN. The midfielder won the 2024/25 National Cup, the 2025 National Super Cup, reached the knockout stage of the 2025/26 AFC Champions League, and currently the police club ranks second in the 2025/26 V.League standings. These achievements have played a key role in maintaining Quang Hải’s image as one of Vietnam’s top football stars.
