Against the Eastern Conference leaders, the Pistons, the Jazz did not fall behind but instead matched them shot for shot, with the first half ending just one point in favor of the Pistons. The intense fight carried on into the second half, with the Jazz stepping up their offense to outscore the Pistons by 9 points in a quarter and take the lead. In the final quarter, the Pistons launched a furious comeback, chipping away at the deficit to keep the suspense alive. Clippers vs. Trail Blazers. The Clippers have improved their recent form, achieving two consecutive wins. Facing the relatively weaker Trail Blazers this round, they aimed to extend their streak. The Blazers started strong in the first quarter, outscoring the Clippers by 10 points with coordinated inside and outside play.
