Following the Vietnam Golden Ball Awards Gala 2025 on the night of December 26 at Bến Thành Theater (Ho Chi Minh City), Coach Philippe Troussier extended special support to Nguyễn Đình Bắc, who won the 2025 Men's Silver Ball title.

In the Men's Golden Ball category, midfielder Nguyễn Hoàng Đức (Ninh Bình Club) surpassed two strong contenders, Quang Hải and Đình Bắc, to claim the top honor. This result quickly sparked diverse opinions among fans. Many supporters believe Nguyễn Đình Bắc deserved the recognition moreafter an outstanding 2025 season both at club and national team levels.

In fact, the 2004-born midfielder had a memorable season. Wearing the Hanoi Police jersey, Đình Bắc played a crucial role in the team's tactics and made a significant impact in domestic competitions. At the national team level, he was a key player helping the Vietnam U23 team win the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, secure the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games, and participate in the 2026 U23 Asian Championship finals.

In this context, Coach Philippe Troussier, who gave Đình Bắc his first chance to play for the national team at just 19 years old, closely followed the news about the Vietnam Golden Ball Gala. On Đình Bắc’s post announcing the 2025 Golden Ball results, the French strategist unexpectedly sent a message to his former student: “Many beautiful stories are still waiting for you to continue writing.”

Fans surely remember that it was Coach Troussier who boldly called Đình Bắc up to the Vietnam national team for the 2023 Asian Cup finals. In the match against Japan, although the "Golden Star Warriors" lost 2-4, the young midfielder's performance left a strong impression.
