Thai football fans collectively reacted when Vietnam lost 1-5 at the Southeast Asian tournament.

The commanding win by Thailand’s U16 futsal squad against Vietnam’s U16 futsal team drew notice not just for the result but also sparked diverse responses among fans from the Land of Smiles.

In the third round of the Southeast Asian U19 Futsal Championship, Thailand’s U16 futsal team demonstrated overwhelming strength by defeating Vietnam’s U16 futsal team with a decisive 5-1 score. This victory quickly triggered a lively wave of reactions from Thai supporters across social media platforms.

On the court, Vietnam’s U16 futsal team found themselves in trouble early after conceding a goal in the first minute. Thailand maintained dominance, capitalizing on opportunities to score repeatedly across both halves. Despite their efforts, the red-shirted team managed only a consolation goal while their opponents extended the lead to finish with a comfortable win.

Immediately after the match, many Thai fans expressed their views collectively. Fan Thanakorn Thongyu wrote: “Truly surprising. Usually, Vietnam is a very tough opponent for Thailand across almost all age groups.”

Meanwhile, supporter Suraphon Saengurai commented: “We need to fix the weaknesses and keep moving forward with our set goals. Beating Vietnam is a joy, but we must not become complacent.”
