Finishing second in the Vietnam Footballer of the Year 2025, Nguyễn Đình Bắc expressed emotional thoughts, considering the Silver Ball title as encouragement for his future path.
Vietnam Footballer of the Year 2025 Gala concluded with a special highlight for Nguyễn Đình Bắc. The forward born in 2004 was not only honored as the Best Young Male Player of the Year but also stood on the podium for the first time to receive the Silver Ball, ranking just behind senior Nguyễn Hoàng Đức in the men's Golden Ball race.
After a turbulent 2024, Đình Bắc made an impressive comeback in 2025. Wearing the Hanoi Police FC jersey, he gradually confirmed his key role in the attack, showing clear improvements in his skills, movement, and competitive mindset. At the national team level, Đình Bắc was a standout figure who helped Vietnam U23 win the Southeast Asian U23 Championship, then continued as the spiritual leader guiding Vietnam U22 to the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
These consistent contributions enabled Đình Bắc to surpass many other young contenders to claim the Best Young Player of 2025 award. More notably, he made it into the top three nominees for the men's Golden Ball, directly competing with established names in Vietnamese football. Ultimately, the forward from Nghệ An earned the Silver Ball, a significant milestone in his still-young career.
Due to his focus with the Vietnam U23 team, Đình Bắc was unable to attend the award ceremony in person. Through a pre-recorded video, he sincerely thanked all the organizations that have supported and accompanied him throughout his journey. “I want to express my gratitude to Song Lam Nghe An Football Club for nurturing and training me during the early years of my career”, Đình Bắc began his speech.
He also recalled his time playing at Quang Nam as an important milestone. “That place provided the opportunity for me to train and play professionally, laying the foundation for my career”, the 2004-born forward shared, also expressing thanks to his coaches and former teammates who have always trusted and supported him over many years.
When discussing his current journey, Đình Bắc did not forget to emphasize the role of his current club. “I would like to thank the management, coaches, and my teammates at Hanoi Police FC for their trust, support, and standing by me”, he affirmed.
Concluding his remarks, Đình Bắc sent a message to football fans across the country.“The faith and support from fans are a huge motivation for me to keep striving and improving myself further in my career”. For this young striker, the Silver Ball is not the final goal but a stepping stone toward higher achievements in the future.
