HOT: Vietnam Football Federation disciplines multiple young players for misconduct

VFF enforces severe penalties on players who did not perform to their potential during the 2025/26 National U19 Championship.

Today, the Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced strict disciplinary decisions regarding violations at the 2025/26 National U19 Football Championship.

This action is necessary and appropriate, demonstrating VFF’s determination to eliminate negative behaviors, protect fairness, integrity, and promote healthy development in domestic football, especially youth football.

The strict handling of violations once again confirms the message that VFF has consistently upheld. This is clearly reflected in the harsh disciplinary decisions during the 2024/25 National U19 Championship qualifiers. Specifically:

1/ Decision No. 1243 on disciplining player Trần Duy Quang from U19 Bê Tông 26

– A fine of 3,750,000 VND (Three million seven hundred fifty thousand dong) and suspension from playing until the end of the tournament for player Trần Quang Duy of U19 Bê Tông 26 due to underperformance at the 2025/26 National U19 Football Championship, severely impacting the tournament and VFF;

– Player Trần Quang Duy has the right to appeal to the VFF Appeals Committee according to regulations.

2/ Decision No. 1244 on disciplining player Trương Phú Quý from U19 Bê Tông 26

– A fine of 3,750,000 VND (Three million seven hundred fifty thousand dong) and suspension from playing until the end of the tournament for player Trương Phú Quý of U19 Bê Tông 26 due to underperformance at the 2025/26 National U19 Football Championship, severely impacting the tournament and VFF;

– Player Trương Phú Quý has the right to appeal to the VFF Appeals Committee according to regulations.

3/ Decision No. 1245 on disciplining player Trần Triệu Anh Khoa from U19 Bê Tông 26

– A fine of 2,500,000 VND (Two million five hundred thousand dong) and suspension for the next 5 matches for player Trần Triệu Anh Khoa of U19 Bê Tông 26 due to underperformance at the 2025/26 National U19 Football Championship, severely impacting the tournament and VFF;

– Player Trần Triệu Anh Khoa has the right to appeal to the VFF Appeals Committee according to regulations.

4/ Decision No. 1246 on disciplining player Đinh Duy Báo from U19 Bê Tông 26

– A fine of 2,500,000 VND (Two million five hundred thousand dong) and suspension for the next 5 matches for player Đinh Duy Báo of U19 Bê Tông 26 due to underperformance at the 2025/26 National U19 Football Championship, severely impacting the tournament and VFF.

– Player Đinh Duy Báo has the right to appeal to the VFF Appeals Committee according to regulations.

5/ Decision No. 1247 on disciplining goalkeeper Nguyễn Công Thuận from U19 Bê Tông 26

– A fine of 2,500,000 VND (Two million five hundred thousand dong) and suspension for the next 5 matches for goalkeeper Nguyễn Công Thuận of U19 Bê Tông 26 due to underperformance at the 2025/26 National U19 Football Championship, severely impacting the tournament and VFF;

– Goalkeeper Nguyễn Công Thuận has the right to appeal to the VFF Appeals Committee according to regulations.
