Commentator Quang Huy points directly to the winner of the 2025 Vietnamese Golden Ball

Commentator Quang Huy has expressed his opinions and disclosed his pick for the 2025 Vietnamese Golden Ball titleholder.

The recipient of the award Vietnamese Golden Ball 2025 is becoming more unpredictable than ever as all candidates have delivered impressive performances over the past year. However, the star most rumored to have the highest chance of lifting this prestigious award is Nguyễn Đình Bắc, a forward who has proven his ability both with the CAHN club and at various levels of the Vietnam national teams.

Before the award ceremony, commentator Quang Huy openly revealed his voting ballot for the 2025 Vietnamese Golden Ball. According to him, he placed Đình Bắc at the top, followed by Hoàng Đức and Tiến Linh.

Explaining his choice, commentator Quang Huy shared: "Đình Bắc has had an outstanding year of progress. Together with CAHN, he secured a title (National Cup), was named the best player at the U23 Southeast Asia Championship, and was outstanding at the recent SEA Games.

Vietnamese football has won the SEA Games three times, but no one has shone as brightly as Đình Bắc did. He was truly the best male football player at the last SEA Games.

He is truly a phenomenon, despite some earlier setbacks... To me, Đình Bắc is a rare type of player, combining many strengths. Although not physically imposing, he has speed, excellent dribbling from the wings, and very effective finishing – truly versatile."

Furthermore, this veteran commentator stated he was not surprised that the 2004-born star surpassed seniors like Hoàng Đức, Quang Hải, and Tiến Linh to claim the Golden Ball for the first time in his career.

He added: "In my opinion, if Đình Bắc wins the Golden Ball this year, I wouldn’t be surprised because he has been extremely brilliant. The other names have already won the Golden Ball, so if Đình Bắc gets it this year, it is well deserved."

Đình Bắc played a key role in the journey to winning the U23 Southeast Asia Championship last July, scoring two goals in four appearances, significantly contributing to U23 Vietnam’s third consecutive title.

Moreover, the influence of the Nghệ An native continued to be evident in the qualifiers for the 2026 U23 Asian Cup. He started in the first two matches and provided an assist, helping U23 Vietnam qualify for the continent’s most prestigious youth tournament.

Not stopping there, SEA Games 33 was the platform where Đình Bắc truly shined. Scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists during the campaign that led U22 Vietnam to the gold medal demonstrated the excellence of this CAHN player at the event held in Thailand.

At the award ceremony tonight (December 26), Đình Bắc will not be present as he is currently training with his teammates in preparation for a friendly match against U23 Syria ahead of the 2026 U23 Asian Cup finals. However, if honored, Đình Bắc will gain further confidence for the important upcoming campaign with U23 Vietnam, potentially bringing success to Vietnamese football.
