Admire Vietnam’s resounding 18-0 victory on Thai soil

Vietnam’s U19 futsal squad dominated Brunei 18-0 in their first game at the 2025 Southeast Asia U19 Futsal Championship.

The Vietnam U19 futsal team made an impressive debut at the 2025 Southeast Asia U19 Futsal Championship by securing a commanding 18-0 win over U19 Brunei, thus starting their regional campaign on a strong note.

With superior strength, Vietnam’s U19 futsal players quickly took control of the match, dominating the play and consistently applying heavy pressure on the opponent’s goal. In the first half alone, the Vietnamese team broke the deadlock early and built a significant lead through diverse and effective attacking strategies.

Đỗ Tuấn Vũ kicked off the scoring spree with two goals in the 4th and 33rd minutes. Hoàng Minh Thức also made his mark by scoring twice at minutes 7 and 14. Nguyễn Thạc Hiếu and Nguyễn Thọ Minh Huy both shone brightly, each netting a hat-trick at minutes 9, 18, 26 and 14, 21, 27 respectively.

Nguyễn Huỳnh Tuấn Việt scored twice at the 20th and 28th minutes, while Trần Lê Bộ (23rd minute), Vũ Đại Học (26th minute), Phạm Quang Huy and Nguyễn Minh Lương (both scoring in the 38th minute) also added their names to the scoreboard. Additionally, U19 Brunei scored two own goals at the 21st and 34th minutes.

The emphatic 18-0 victory not only earned a full 3 points but also gave Vietnam’s U19 futsal team a significant advantage in goal difference after the opening round.

This result reflects the thorough preparation, squad depth, and strong determination of coach Nguyễn Anh Khoa’s team at the first-ever AFF-organized futsal tournament for U19 teams.
