12 years of partnership: Guangzhou Sports Lottery supports the 2025 Guangzhou Marathon relaunch

This year, the “Hundred-Person Running Team” was reassembled to convey the brand’s philosophy of “Public Welfare Sports Lottery, Joyful and Kind Life” through running. On December 19, the runners convened at the marathon expo, fully prepared and confident for their heroic expedition just two days away!

From December 18 to 20, the Guangzhou Marathon Expo at Zone D of the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center was bustling with visitors. Guangzhou Sports Lottery’s immersive interactive booth themed “Step Forward, Shine Bright” became a highlight, igniting enthusiasm for national fitness through innovative design and diverse interactive experiences. The booth featured a futuristic tech style and a video wall system showcasing the allocation and impact of sports lottery public welfare funds. The interactive game area offered fun activities like “Crazy Motion Running” and “VR Running Interaction,” allowing participants to enjoy exercise. The public welfare station distributed prizes through lighthearted, humorous interactions while promoting scientific exercise knowledge simultaneously.

At the 2025 Guangzhou Marathon press conference held on December 12, Guangzhou Sports Lottery officially received the “Event Supporter” commemorative plaque from the organizing committee. This landmark moment not only marked the deepening and upgrading of their partnership but also highlighted the lottery’s firm commitment to advancing mass fitness initiatives and urban sports development.

Since the inaugural Guangzhou Marathon 12 years ago, the China Sports Lottery has been a steadfast supporter of the event. According to the annual “Guangzhou Sports Lottery Public Welfare Fund Collection and Usage Announcement,” thanks to continuous investment from the lottery’s public welfare funds, the Guangzhou Marathon has evolved from a local event into a “Double Gold Event” (Gold Medal Event of the Chinese Athletics Association and Gold Label Event of World Athletics), becoming a shining symbol of the city’s image and development achievements. The public welfare funds cover essential aspects such as event organization and medical support, and extend to athlete services and cultural promotion, vividly embodying the lottery’s mission of “originating from the people and serving the people.”

On race day, Guangzhou Sports Lottery will set up a brand display area at the finish line at Huacheng Square, offering “Happy Star” themed souvenirs for runners to collect.
