FIFA announces discounted ticket prices for fans attending the 2026 World Cup

According to the announcement on December 16, FIFA revealed the new ticket category called "Supporter Entry," which will be available for all 104 matches, including the final. These tickets, priced at 60 USD (51 euros), will be reserved exclusively for fans of qualified teams and will constitute 10% of the total tickets allocated to each national football federation. FIFA emphasized that these tickets will prioritize loyal supporters who consistently follow their national teams, with each federation setting its own criteria to define fan loyalty.

FIFA stated that 50% of each federation's tickets are offered at the most affordable price levels, with 40% being Supporter Value tickets and 10% being the new Supporter Entry tickets priced at 60 USD mentioned above.

The remaining tickets are divided equally between two higher tiers, Supporter Standard and Supporter Premier, with prices increasing according to seating location and associated benefits.

FIFA explained that the ticket price adjustment comes amid very high global demand, with around 20 million applications submitted. Fans purchasing through their national federation’s programs will be exempt from administrative fees if their team is eliminated early and they request a refund.

Nevertheless, Football Supporters Europe (FSE), a network representing fan associations from over 40 UEFA member countries, considers the 10% allocation of 60 USD tickets too low and insufficient to address the high ticket price issue. Additionally, FSE pointed out that FIFA has yet to establish clear regulations for disabled supporters and their companions.

The 2026 World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The first ticket draw will be held on January 13, 2026, covering all ticket categories.
