The Vietnam women's futsal team wrapped up the 2025 SEA Games group stage with a 4-2 win over Myanmar in a match full of emotion, with goals arriving at critical moments.
An early shock came when Myanmar, considered the underdog, took the lead. At the 10th minute, Ei Ei Kyaw confidently dribbled past Vietnam’s last defender and calmly finished in a one-on-one situation, beating goalkeeper Hải Yến. This goal forced the Vietnamese players to raise the pace and continuously apply strong pressure on the opponent’s goal.
After numerous missed chances, the turning point of the first half came at the 17th minute. Myanmar committed their sixth foul, granting Vietnam a free kick without a wall. Thanh Ngân was given the responsibility and did not let her teammates down, delivering a decisive shot into the near corner to equalize at 1-1.
