At the 10th minute, Ei Ei Kyaw confidently dribbled past Vietnam’s last defender and calmly finished in a one-on-one situation, beating goalkeeper Hải Yến. This goal forced the Vietnamese players to raise the pace and continuously apply strong pressure on the opponent’s goal.

After numerous missed chances, the turning point of the first half came at the 17th minute. Myanmar committed their sixth foul, granting Vietnam a free kick without a wall.
