Sky Sports UK reports that Manchester United is scouting another Premier League midfielder and may consider him as a signing candidate for the upcoming transfer window. Sunderland's robust midfielder Noah Sadiki has also drawn Chelsea's attention. Both Premier League giants have reached out to the player's representatives and Sunderland to inquire about the terms of a potential transfer.

The Congolese player Sadiki, born in Belgium, transferred from Anderlecht to Sunderland and has become one of the most promising young midfielders in the Premier League this season, especially noted for his high work rate and ranking among the top three in distance covered. In just nine matches, he has run over 100 kilometers, attracting interest from several elite clubs.
Sky Sports’ Sasha Tavolieri revealed that Manchester United was among the first clubs to show interest in this player; they contacted his agent early in the season to express their interest and have been monitoring his progress closely.
The midfielder Manchester United is focusing on meets several criteria such as playing in the Premier League, being young, possessing excellent athleticism, and having solid technical skills. At only 20 years old, Sadiki’s performances in the Premier League demonstrate significant potential. He can operate as a defensive midfielder, right-back, or center-back, and is seen as a possible replacement for Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, who has underperformed this season.
Compared to Baleba, Sadiki's transfer fee is relatively affordable, with Germany’s Transfermarkt valuing him at €25 million. However, Sky Sports has not confirmed whether Manchester United plans to submit a formal offer yet. It appears the club’s interest is still in the exploratory phase.

Chelsea has also entered the race. Sky Sports states that the Blues are taking a different approach by directly contacting Sunderland to ask about the player’s transfer price, as Enzo Maresca is also scouting midfield options for future transfer windows.
It is well known that Chelsea actively searches for emerging talents across Europe and follows a long-term development strategy, aiming to sign young players before their market value rises. Like Manchester United, Chelsea has not made any official bids and is unlikely to engage in serious negotiations in the near term.
Since Sadiki plays a critical role in Sunderland’s midfield, the club is unlikely to sell him unless a very attractive offer arrives, especially during the January transfer window. Therefore, which midfielders Manchester United will ultimately sign remains uncertain.
Elliott Anderson from Nottingham Forest and Adam Walton from Crystal Palace have consistently been popular targets. However, Manchester United’s next opponents Bournemouth also have American player Tyler Adams on the rumored list. The 26-year-old Adams has openly expressed that Old Trafford holds a special place in his heart and that playing there is a memorable occasion for him.

Adams said, “When I was with RB Leipzig, my first time walking into Old Trafford as an opponent was unforgettable. I thought then: my dream is to play in the Premier League, and this is the stage for it. Whether or not you are a Manchester United fan, stepping into Old Trafford changes your perspective completely. So now, being able to return there multiple times and perform well makes the experience even more special. That’s why I always get very excited whenever I face Manchester United.”
