Manchester United has identified an additional midfield target for the January transfer window, priced at £30 million! He just scored a Beckham-style 43-meter lob.

Manchester United might have to adjust their midfield in the January window because Ruben Amorim’s team has been inconsistent, creating an urgent need for new signings. Additionally, Kobe Meno could request a loan move as Amorim does not utilize him at all.

When Amorim said there was no one on Manchester United’s bench capable of improving the attack, the English media mentioned Meno’s name, causing Amorim to burst out laughing. This ironic moment even caught Meno’s attention, who liked the comment himself!

According to the UK’s Daily Mail, 20-year-old Meno is desperate to leave Manchester United, where he has played since childhood, or else he risks missing out on the 2026 World Cup in North America. The 2026 World Cup draw was completed on Friday, placing favorites England in Group L alongside Croatia, Ghana, and Panama.

By December, Meno has yet to start a Premier League match this season. He needs more game time quickly to earn a call-up from Tuchel. It is reported that up to 12 clubs are interested in loaning him in January, offering him a starting role, with Serie A’s Napoli showing the strongest desire to sign him.

If Meno is allowed to leave, Manchester United will have to bring in a new midfielder in January. Previously, Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher was the only likely candidate, as Nottingham Forest’s Elliott Anderson, Crystal Palace’s Adam Walton, and Brighton’s Carlos Baleba are too expensive and unlikely to move in the winter window.

Now, 26-year-old American midfielder Tyler Adams from Bournemouth has also caught Manchester United’s attention. English media reports say the Red Devils have discussed the possibility of signing him. Adams joined Bournemouth from Leeds United in 2023 for £20 million, with a contract running until 2028. Currently, it would take at least £30 million to acquire him.

Adams possesses excellent ball control and is equally aggressive off the ball, capable of controlling the game’s tempo. Recently, he scored a brilliant long-range lob. Club legend Nani has urged his former team to strengthen their midfield quickly, though the player he recommended, João Neves, is unlikely to join Manchester United. “Not signing Neves was a real missed opportunity.
