Congratulations to WBG! They defeated IG 2-1, securing a strong start! ELK's Kai'Sa smashed 19 kills, and Zika showed off some flashy plays.

The LPL first stage opening BO3 saw IG starting with Soboro top, Wei in the jungle, Rookie mid, and Photic plus Jwei in the bot lane, while WBG had Zika top, Jiejie jungle, Xiaohu mid, and ELK with Erha down bottom. After three intense games, WBG overturned the series to win 2-1 against IG, securing the first win of the season!

In the first game, IG picked Quasanti top, Wukong jungle, Ahri mid, and Varus with Tahm Kench bot; WBG chose Rumble top, Pantheon jungle, Taliyah mid, and Yuumi with Alistar bot. At 9 minutes, a 3v3 skirmish broke out mid, where IG's mid and support coordinated to kill Erha's Alistar, giving Rookie Ahri the first blood. IG took all three Rift Scuttlers. Subsequent fights around the dragon and river favored IG, who secured quick reinforcements and won several small skirmishes. IG led early kills 5-1 and had a 1k gold advantage.

By 21 minutes, IG had destroyed the first tower in the bottom lane. At 29 minutes, IG secured the dragon that put them on the brink of a soul. Later at 35 minutes, both teams fought over the dragon; WBG stole it to deny IG’s soul, but IG managed to kill Zika’s Rumble. At 37 minutes, a mid-lane clash saw Soboro’s Quasanti perfectly flank, with Wei’s Wukong entering with his ultimate, leading IG to a 1-for-5 team wipe of WBG and taking the game’s first win. The highest damage dealer in the first game was Photic’s Varus for IG, while for WBG it was Zika’s Rumble.

In the second game, IG picked Renekton top, Mundo jungle, Ryze mid, and Senna with Rell bot; WBG went with Gnar top, Malphite jungle, Syndra mid, and Kai'Sa with Rakan bot. Early on, WBG’s bot duo set up an ambush and killed Jwei’s Rell, giving ELK’s Kai'Sa the first blood. IG held a 1k gold lead in the early phase.

At 17 minutes, a skirmish broke out top lane; although WBG used all their abilities to kill Rookie’s Ryze, IG’s other members arrived to trade one for one and secured the Rift Herald. At 23 minutes, IG grouped in the jungle to kill Jiejie’s Malphite and then took the first Baron. However, in the ensuing team fight, ELK’s Kai'Sa cleaned up, and WBG’s dual carry lineup fought back to a 3-for-5 team wipe of IG, securing the dragon that put them on the brink of a soul. At 29 minutes, a river skirmish saw Wei’s Mundo instantly killed, but ELK’s Kai'Sa ultimate combined with Erha’s Rakan took down Soboro’s Renekton. WBG killed four IG members and secured the Alchemist Dragon Soul. Later at 31 minutes, Soboro’s Renekton forced a kill on Xiaohu’s Syndra, but ELK’s Kai'Sa cleaned up again, and WBG secured a 1-for-3 fight followed by the second Baron. Finally, at 33 minutes, ELK’s Kai'Sa racked up 19 kills as WBG won the second game. ELK was awarded MVP.

In the third game, WBG picked Jax top, Zhao Xin jungle, Cassiopeia mid, and Zeri with Neeko bot; IG chose Gragas top, Amumu jungle, Alora mid, and Sivir with a female tank bot. At 8 minutes, a 2v2 bottom lane fight saw IG’s bot duo kill Erha’s Neeko, with Jwei’s female tank securing first blood. In the following skirmishes, Xiaohu’s Cassiopeia skillfully controlled fights, helping WBG win consecutive small team fights and gain a 2k gold lead early on.

At 18 minutes, Soboro’s Gragas solo killed Xiaohu’s Cassiopeia in the bottom lane. At 19 minutes, WBG secured the Rift Herald. Later at 30 minutes, both teams contested the dragon; although Wei took it, he was immediately killed. WBG then took the first Baron. At 35 minutes, during a dragon fight, Erha’s Neeko ulted four enemies, and Photic’s Sivir was instantly killed. WBG killed three IG members and secured the Alchemist Dragon Soul. At 37 minutes, after killing Jwei’s female tank, WBG took the third Baron. Finally, at 39 minutes, WBG wiped IG at their base and won the match.
