With less than two weeks until the kickoff of League of Legends S16’s first stage, T1’s new bot laner Peyz joined Wolf’s interview show with U-Huang. Peyz shared that his decision to join T1 was driven by the players on the team, believing that a strong roster is essential to winning the championship. Clearly, he is a player with ambition. It’s uncertain whether Faker will guide him to another title next season.

Besides that, Peyz was asked about the lifestyle differences between the LPL and LCK regions. He said: Life in LPL and LCK isn’t very different. If there’s one difference, it’s that in LCK, players joke and chat about daily life with teammates, but in LPL, due to limited Chinese, it’s hard to communicate with teammates. He has only been here one season and surprisingly hasn’t complained, showing that Peyz is quite well-mannered.

Faker’s fan meeting in Chengdu has successfully concluded. At the end, Faker took out his “cheat sheet” (though he initially grabbed the wrong one) and thanked fans entirely in Chinese. His main message was: I’m Faker, very happy to be in Chengdu, a place with my favorite hotpot and memories of winning championships. Thank you all for welcoming me here. I hope we can share a wonderful time together.

Faker’s Chinese gratitude lasted a full 70 seconds. Although not perfectly fluent and comparable to Zuo Shou, most fans could barely understand him. It’s clear he practiced a lot before arriving in Chengdu. Just for a fan meeting, he put in the effort to learn Chinese — such professionalism is flawless. No wonder he’s considered the best in the league. Other Korean players who haven’t played in the LPL would definitely struggle.

Last year, Xuan Shen lost his casting privileges after insulting TheShy by calling him "horse head" during an IG match commentary. Recently, on a livestream, he admitted that two IG players have sued him: TheShy for defamation and Rookie for spreading rumors, as Xuan Shen claimed on stream that Rookie sold expired instant noodles. Facing two lawsuits at once, it looks tough for Xuan Shen, especially since the plaintiffs have already collected evidence.

Xuan Shen openly said he will definitely lose the lawsuits because all the statements were made during live streams, making evidence collection easy. At worst, he expects to apologize and pay fines, which won’t impact him much since he thrives on controversy. Even after being sued, he remains unrepentant. When he heard TheShy retired, he bluntly said: "He should have left long ago. It’s ridiculous that such a streamer can cast matches. The officials are ridiculous too."

Forced to retire for military service, Peanut recently streamed and drew a chart of his career progression. From playing ranked games to becoming a trainee, then joining DRX, Peanut’s career was on the rise. After leaving T1, it declined sharply, but upon transferring to LGD, it improved suddenly. Although there were ups and downs in the following years, his performance remained relatively stable.

Peanut openly stated that LGD was a turning point in his life. His teammates were great, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Before, he focused on minimizing mistakes in matches, but after joining LGD, he adopted a mindset of “what if I fail?” Since that year, his playstyle gradually changed. If he had stayed in LCK instead of moving to LPL, his career might have ended years earlier. No wonder he often praises LGD.

The news of TheShy suing Xuan Shen is quite satisfying. The officials seem clueless for allowing such a controversial streamer to cast games, as if they want the LPL to fail faster. Xuan Shen is just one example; there are others like him who gain attention by attacking players. Now that TheShy has retired, they will just pick new targets.
So, what do you think about Faker’s Chinese?
