Many players who hadn’t logged in for months returned because of it. It’s no exaggeration to say this mode saved LOL once again. However, it’s not permanent and is expected to be removed in January.

In the patch 25.24 update announcement, it was stated that Hextech Mayhem will remain available until the end of this version. Once patch 25.24 ends, Hextech Mayhem will be gone. Rumors say the next patch will release on January 8th, when the mode will be taken offline. So, if you haven’t tried it or want more playtime, you should hurry—the mode will only be available for about two more weeks.
