BLG has been defeated 0-2 again! They lost to JDG and suffered their second defeat in the Demacia Cup! HongQ was fierce like a war god.

In the second stage of the Demacia Cup group matches, BLG faced JDG in a BO3. After a fierce two-game battle, JDG swept BLG 2-0 to claim victory. BLG, after their previous upset loss to OMG, has now suffered their second defeat by JDG.

In the first game, JDG's lineup was top Sion, jungle Xin Zhao, mid Azir, and bot Aphelios with Thresh; BLG fielded top Mordekaiser, jungle Wukong, mid Taliyah, and bot Yuumi with Alistar. At 5 minutes, a 2v2 skirmish broke out bot lane resulting in a 1-for-1 trade, with Gala’s Aphelios securing first blood. Then, during a Rift Herald team fight, xun’s Wukong took the Rift Herald, while JDG killed Viper’s Yuumi and destroyed the first mid turret. Early on, BLG secured two dragons, but JDG maintained a 1k gold lead.

At 20 minutes, both teams contested the dragon; junjia’s Xin Zhao secured it. In the ensuing skirmish, Viper’s Yuumi was instantly killed, and JDG’s dual carries cleaned up for a 1-for-3 exchange, taking the Rift Herald. At 28 minutes, Vampire’s Thresh was killed in the jungle, allowing BLG to take the first Baron. Following a team fight, JDG’s two carries were wiped out and BLG scored a 0-for-3 exchange. Later at 36 minutes, JDG took the initiative to secure Baron; Gala’s Aphelios quickly eliminated Viper’s Yuumi, and JDG claimed their second Baron while killing three BLG players. At 37 minutes, bin’s Mordekaiser locked down junjia’s Xin Zhao, BLG captured the Elder Dragon soul, but in the team fight, Gala’s Aphelios cleaned up, Viper’s Yuumi was instantly killed, and JDG wiped out BLG to win the first game. The highest damage dealer in the first game was HongQ’s Azir, while BLG’s top damage was Viper’s Yuumi.

In the second game, BLG’s lineup was top Anivia, jungle Jayce, mid Galio, bot Jhin with Leona; JDG fielded top Ahern, jungle Malphite, mid Swain, and bot Varus with Rell. During laning at 4 minutes, xun’s Jayce ganked and killed JDG’s bot duo, securing a double kill. Soon after, a mid-lane skirmish saw HongQ’s Swain dominate like a war god; JDG traded 1-for-2 and secured the Rift Herald. Early on, JDG took two dragons while BLG pushed down the first bot turret, maintaining a 1k gold lead.

At 21 minutes, HongQ’s Swain was caught and killed top lane. BLG took the Rift Herald proactively. In the following team fight, ON initiated, but BLG lacked damage, and JDG, fighting 4v5, killed four BLG members and secured the Rift Herald. At 25 minutes, a river skirmish broke out; ON’s Leona initiation failed, and JDG’s counterattack also faltered initially. However, HongQ’s Swain flashed in perfectly to start a fight, leading JDG to a 0-for-3 exchange and securing the Infernal Dragon soul. At 27 minutes, JDG engaged in the jungle, killing BLG’s top, mid, and bot, and took the first Baron. Finally, at 29 minutes, JDG dove under BLG’s base turret, killed two players, and secured the match victory.
