In the LPL Demacia Cup, only 6 BO3 matches remain in the second stage. On the previous day, IG shut out WE to secure their second straight victory, WBG suffered an upset loss to LNG, and BLG, who had high expectations from fans, was also swept by OMG. Before the event started, Weibo and BLG were expected to rule Group B, but as the schedule progressed, both faltered, with the half-hearted teams OMG and LNG emerging as the top contenders.

WBG, fielding their full starting lineup, was thoroughly dominated by LNG, which was quite surprising. In the second game at 29 minutes, Weibo had an economic lead of 5K, but during a crucial team fight, ELK was caught out, and Erha misused his shield, causing WBG’s team fights to collapse gradually. LNG’s jungler played boldly, using their ultimate aggressively and daring to attempt risky plays. In the decisive fight, they used vision denial and caught Xiaohu in the bushes, turning the game around in one swift move.

BLG’s situation was somewhat similar to Weibo’s. In the first game, they managed to push the first turret, but then got wiped in the dragon soul fight. The second game was even worse, as OMG crushed them like bots. ON set a new low record with back-to-back 0-8 games, turning from zero to hero in reverse. After watching their debut, I once praised BLG’s discipline, but I owe everyone an apology — that discipline was just an illusion. Against OMG, they played exactly the same old way.

ON’s performance was truly absurd. He played support Poppy specifically to counter Sylas and Qiyana diving the backline, but during team fights, he didn’t protect Viper at all and just rushed in to start fights. As a result, the two carries couldn’t survive. His understanding of fundamental Poppy mechanics was impressive, and overall he was the most dedicated or perhaps the most consistent player on the team. Meanwhile, the other four teammates were holding the team back.

The "Galactic Battleship" took off but crashed soon after. Fortunately, ZuoShou didn’t participate; otherwise, he would have been heavily criticized too. Judging by the current Demacia Cup standings, except for AL who hasn’t played yet, the other teams are quite evenly weak. OMG and LNG stand at 2-1, Weibo and JDG at 1-2, BLG at 1-1. The three teams with the strongest roster on paper have only one win each. These three are supposed to represent the top LPL strength next year.

Although it’s called an entertainment tournament, everyone is playing seriously. Strong teams keep falling one after another — who can handle that? BLG is slightly better off, with their head coach and mid laner absent. Weibo and JDG can’t clear their names; their main rosters are intact but still suffer consecutive upsets. Next year, our region’s fans are truly lucky — there’s no need to be picky since every match could be an upset. The level is just too evenly matched.

After BLG lost, Bin was exposed with negative rumors. A former UP coach revealed on stream that BLG’s coach Kakao pointed out some issues with Bin during review sessions, but Bin dismissed it as nonsense and ignored him. After being snubbed, Kakao didn’t dare raise Bin’s problems again during later reviews. When management found out, they asked Bin to apologize, but he refused, so the management had to call in his family.

Only after his family got involved did Bin apologize to Kakao. Wow, being so arrogant during game reviews is really outrageous. However, since Daeny left this year, Bin probably won’t dare talk back anymore. Daeny is the kind of guy who even benches the veteran Li. If Bin doesn’t behave, he might end up sidelined. Honestly, BLG’s discipline problems are also the management’s fault for spoiling the players too much.

One team from JDG, one from Weibo, and one from BLG have all lost to supposedly weaker teams in the Demacia Cup. Only the top three teams in the second stage advance, and both 1-2 WBG and JDG only have one match left, and both must face BLG. Among these three, it feels like at least two will be eliminated in the second stage.
So, who do you think is most to blame for BLG’s issues?
