VIPER experiences first loss after signing with BLG

After acquiring AD carry VIPER during the transfer period, many BLG supporters celebrated enthusiastically, convinced that VIPER’s addition enhanced BLG’s competitive discipline. Some fans openly stated that BLG is set to become the top team in LPL next year, particularly since the underperforming ELK was dismissed. Certain “outsider coaches” like Zhu Kai, after seeing BLG defeat LNG in their first Demacia Cup match, publicly challenged T1 on behalf of BLG, claiming BLG will represent LPL to beat T1 and claim the S16 World Championship next year.

However, as the Demacia Cup progressed, many BLG fans were disheartened when BLG was completely shut down and heavily defeated by OMG. It’s worth noting that OMG hasn’t even qualified for playoffs in recent years, so they had no ranking points to sign top LPL stars during the transfer window. Consequently, OMG had to fill their roster by picking up jungle and support players rejected by LCK. Yet these players, discarded by LCK, dominated the “Galactic Battleship” BLG in the LPL league.

BLG’s core player reduced to a bot-like performance!

Following BLG’s loss to OMG, many LPL viewers attributed the defeat to support player ON. In this best-of-three series, ON’s performance was highly disappointing. Early in the game, every roam and assist by ON ended in giving away kills. In the mid to late stages, ON’s death count worsened, even dying twice in a single team fight. ON’s scores were 0/8 in both the first and second games, leading many fans to joke that VIPER’s arrival did not improve ON’s discipline.

Besides support ON’s poor showing, BLG’s jungler XUN also baffled many viewers. Some believed OMG’s victory was largely due to XUN’s reckless mistakes. Those who watched the match know BLG had a three-lane advantage early in the first game against OMG, but XUN’s errors during team fights allowed OMG to successfully reverse the game in the late phase. BIN’s off-field scandal sparks heated discussion

In addition to BLG’s surprising loss to OMG, BIN was also exposed by former UP coach Benny for having a troubling past before the match. The ex-UP coach revealed that BIN showed disrespect to Kakao, considering Kakao’s post-match reviews as nonsense. This caused conflicts between BIN and Kakao, and eventually BLG management stepped in to make BIN apologize to Kakao. After learning this insider information, many fans started looking forward to BIN’s future interactions with coach Danshen. Fans who have watched IG’s team room videos know that coach Danshen has a tough temper. During the transfer window, BLG’s training manager Yuan Xi even warned XUN that coach Danshen is very strict and encouraged him to follow the coach’s guidance closely.
