T1 lost to the Vietnam team in the exhibition match! The LPL's best rookie was taken down, and ELK is about to get a new support

Following their K Cup victory, T1 hurried to Vietnam for an exhibition match against a team of Vietnamese stars such as the retired Levi and Sofm, who plans to become a support next year. As seasoned performers in such matches, T1 displayed great skill. In the opening game, they switched positions right away, with Keria taking top lane and playing Teemo, who died 21 times over 40 minutes.

In the second game, T1 played normally, with Faker picking Zed again and showing spectacular plays, leading the team to even the score. The final game was interesting: all players chose AD champions, resulting in a chaotic 10-ADC battle lasting 46 minutes. Both teams fought relentlessly, with the Vietnamese star team scoring 102 kills in total. Ultimately, T1 was defeated. Winning one game on foreign soil proves strength, but losing two shows the nature of friendly matches.

Official vote for the most important FMVP

Recently, the official LOL organization launched a poll for fans to vote on the most important FMVP of the past four years. Nominees were all world championship FMVP winners, including Kingen, Zeus, Faker, and Gumayusi. With Faker involved in the voting, the outcome was predictable: Faker dominated with 81% of the votes, becoming widely recognized as the most significant FMVP in recent years.

The two top laners only received 4% and 6% of the votes respectively, while the supporter of Da Ji got about 10%. However, compared to Faker, these numbers are minor. Last year's world championship FMVP awarded to Faker carried immense weight; while the younger players were overwhelmed, Faker calmly found opportunities to lead the team to a comeback. Even ignoring his fame, he deserved the vote.

GEN responds to the "god-making" of Chovy

The GEN team owner recently replied to fan comments on Twitter. One fan noted that after the annual awards, there was a sentiment in the Chinese LOL community suggesting that although LCK tried to create a "god" figure, they didn’t want it to be too obvious, which led to doubts about their favored player. This is why BDD was pushed forward as a shield (this year’s LCK mid-laner of the year was Chovy, but the player of the year was BDD).

The GEN owner responded: Chovy is one of the most hardworking and sincere players worldwide. He contributes to the entire competitive scene without seeking recognition. Regardless of current public opinion, the truth will eventually prevail. It’s rare for an owner to publicly defend a player, showing Chovy’s high status in GEN. However, what he really lacks now is a world championship.

WBG reportedly testing new support

After the start of the LPL Demacia Cup, WBG, with its full first team, has a record of one win and one loss. In the last match, they surprisingly lost to OMG. Subsequently, blogger Hongcha revealed that a club contacted several supports overnight. Although unnamed, the most criticized player recently is Erha, who performed poorly in two consecutive BO3 series. It’s clear Hongcha was referring to WBG.

The transfer window just ended, yet they are already testing new supports. There are a few candidates on the market: Meiko, Hang, and Liu Qingsong. SisaO has already returned twice and likely won’t come back again. Hang was dropped by Weibo last year, so his return seems unlikely. That leaves Meiko as the main option. If he partners with ELK, it might actually work well, at least their vision control wouldn’t be worse than Erha’s.

Conclusion:

Only two games played before making a change is quite unusual. However, WBG has difficulty swapping players now. The club can only sign free agents like Hang, since players like Meiko, who renewed contracts, can only be traded starting in January when the transfer window reopens. Most likely, Erha will remain the starter for the Demacia Cup.

So, who do you think WBG will pick up?

Feel free to leave your thoughts and discuss!
