Rocket Exploration No. 10 Signing Trade Plan! Swappable instant combat star If you use it yourself or choose a 2.03 meter striker

On May 31, Beijing time, according to Kevin O'Connor, the Rockets are exploring a variety of trade options involving the No. 10 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. It is reported that team management is weighing a variety of options, including trading up for draft picks, trading draft picks for instant stars, or trading down for future assets.

After finishing the season with a 52-30 regular season record, the Rockets faced the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the playoffs in a hard-fought seven-game battle before being eliminated from the tournament. Now, the Rockets have turned their attention to the draft and face an important decision that could affect the direction of their already promising roster.

The 2025 NBA Draft is scheduled to be held June 26-27 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Currently, the Rockets hold the No. 10 pick, but league sources believe the team is unlikely to retain that pick. O'Connor reports that the Rockets have a deep roster, which could make it difficult for rookies to get playing time, just as Scout Shepard limited his role last season.

However, if the Rockets choose to keep their draft picks, one potential pick could be University of Arizona player Carter Bryant. The 2.03m striker is widely regarded as an all-round defender with eye-catching potential. In his only season in the NCAA, Bryant averaged 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, one assist and one block per game in 37 games, shooting 46 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from three-point range. His draft template is Oubre.

O'Connor wrote, "Selecting Bryant is in line with the Rockets' building style," and highlighted the forward's range, athleticism, and potential as a set-up shooter and smart off-ball cutter. Although Bryant is still immature in his ability to handle the ball, his attributes on both ends of the floor suggest that he could contribute as a role player in the short term and develop into a more significant player in the future.

However, given the team's already crowded rotation, especially on the wing and frontcourt positions, Houston may find it more advantageous to use the No. 10 pick as a trade asset. O'Connor mentioned a trade like the Spurs' 2024 trade with the Timberwolves, when the Spurs traded down and acquired a batch of future draft picks.

Whether the Rockets choose to package draft picks for a star in the draft, trade up to the top of the draft, or acquire long-term assets, the team seems poised to make strategic moves. The team already has a pool of young talent on the rise and may see the draft as an opportunity to further enhance the trajectory, whether by adding young players or using assets to immediately bolster the roster. With less than a month to go until the draft, Rockets management will continue to evaluate options.
