On January 14th Beijing time, the Trail Blazers were defeated by the Warriors 97-119. After the match, Yang Hansen posted on social media to reassure fans, sharing a photo of himself with the words: “It’s nothing serious, thank you all for caring.”

During the fourth quarter of the game, Yang Hansen collided his head with Richard’s knee while battling for a loose ball and had to return to the locker room for an examination. He was seen lying on the floor in pain, clutching his head. Staff and his translator quickly came over to check on him, after which he slowly got up and, accompanied by team personnel, went back to the locker room for a brief check to rule out a concussion. The crowd gave him warm applause, cheering him on.
Not long after, he returned to the sidelines and was subbed back in to finish the remainder of the game.
After the game, Trail Blazers head coach Stotts said: “The doctors and he himself told me he was fine, so that’s why he came back. I saw his head got hit by a knee, but luckily it wasn’t a serious injury, and he was able to continue playing.”
Yang Hansen played 12 minutes and 33 seconds off the bench, shooting 1 for 3 (all three-pointers), scoring 3 points with 2 rebounds and 1 assist. So far this season, he has appeared in 23 games, averaging 2.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game.
